School project
Sub-project Ö focused on transferring some of the results of SFB research into usable teaching material, in accordance with the 2016 Baden-Württemberg state-wide curriculum. This objective was achieved by means of an active and reciprocal involvement of school teachers (elementary to senior high), university students (mostly from the teachers’ training program), and school students themselves in both research and teaching. Additionally, a number of project personnel were involved in cooperative projects with schools to support this process. A key component lay in further education and training courses for teachers. The degree to which the results of sub-project Ö exceed original expectations is encouraging and can serve as a benchmark for future science transfer cooperations between universities and schools.
